Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park is home to Mt Meru (4565m), the second tallest mountain in Tanzania. You can also go on a game safari in Arusha National Park. Though it is a much smaller national park (137 square kilometers) and won’t offer the same game-viewing experience as other national parks in Northern Tanzania, the landscape is beautiful and varied with grasslands and lakes.

Wildlife

Despite its size, you can still see a variety of animals such as giraffes, buffalos, zebras, blue samango monkeys, colobus monkeys, flamingos, elephants, and more.

Best time to visit

You can visit the park any time of the year, but if you are planning to climb Mt.Meru, we recommend that you visit during the dry season (June-October).
